I find it interesting that he chose to name this 5 movement work, based on 5 female characters from Greek mythology "Legends" rather than "Myths". There's a lovely hue to the word Legends - where these women become arch types, where I feel that they were once really alive and I remember them and they've grown and become Legends after ceasing to exist on the corporeal plane. Too woo-woo? Hold onto your hats! This gets loud, bossy and chaotic. The art work is a piece titled "Calm through Chaos" by Erik Strom. |
