ECHO FROM LEGENDS BY BRENT WEAVER

About all I accomplished today was getting "Echo" from Brent Weaver's "Legends" recorded and uploaded to youtube. That and a work-out. That and a work-out and picking up a 14 foot CAT-6 network cable.
So I'm going to cheat and lift the description I wrote on the youtube site for this piece. Forgive me.
The fourth movement in Brent Weaver's suite of Greek Legendary Women, this little legend (Echo) couldn't keep her jabbering mouth shut and pissed off Hera who cursed her by taking away most of her ability to speak. Echo was reduced to stalking Narcissus, with whom she became obsessed. Unfortunately, her curse was that she could only mimic the last syllables said by others, thus unable to engage Narcissus in her witless banter. Not that Narcissus would have listened to her inane ramblings anyway. He too was obsessed with Narcissus.
Brent Weaver wrote the piece and programmed the electronics. John Williams Waterhouse painted the picture: "Echo and Narcissus" 1903 I am the pianist.
